Overview

Grey Peppers collects only the information strictly necessary to fulfill your order. We do not maintain customer accounts, build marketing profiles, or sell personal data to third parties. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it is handled.

We collect the following information only when you place an order:

  • Shipping address: Required to deliver your order.
  • Email address: Used for order confirmation, tracking notifications, and customer support communication.
  • Phone number (optional): Collected only if provided; used by carriers for delivery coordination when necessary.
  • Order details: Products purchased, quantities, prices paid, Bitcoin transaction ID.

We do not collect browsing history, device fingerprints, or behavioral data. We do not require account creation at any point.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely for:

  • Fulfilling and shipping your order.
  • Sending order confirmations, tracking numbers, and delivery updates.
  • Responding to customer support inquiries related to an existing order.
  • Maintaining business records for accounting, tax compliance, and legal obligations.

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, newsletters, or promotional communications. We will never email you about new products, sales, or unrelated offers unless you explicitly opt in through a separate mechanism.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

Your personal data is shared only with:

  • Shipping carriers: Your name, address, and optional phone number are provided to the postal or courier service handling your delivery.
  • BTCPay Server: Our Bitcoin payment processor. Only transaction-related data (order amount, BTC address, payment status) is shared; no personal identifying information beyond what is required for invoice generation.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, analytics providers, marketing platforms, or any other third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Data Retention

Order records are retained for a minimum of seven years to satisfy tax and accounting requirements. After this period, personal identifying information is anonymized or deleted where legally permissible.

You may request deletion of your data after your order has been fully fulfilled by contacting us through our contact form. Certain information (transaction amounts, dates, product details) may be retained in anonymized form for business records as required by law.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal cookies:

  • Theme preference cookie: Stores your dark/light mode selection locally in your browser (localStorage). Not transmitted to our servers.
  • Age verification cookie: Set once you confirm you are 21+ so the age gate does not reappear on subsequent visits. Contains only a boolean flag; no personal data.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts. No behavioral profiling occurs.

6. Security

We implement standard security measures to protect your order information:

  • All pages are served over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
  • Order data is stored on secured servers with access limited to authorized personnel.
  • Bitcoin payments are processed through BTCPay Server, an open-source payment processor; we do not handle private keys or store wallet credentials.

No payment card information is ever collected or stored. All transactions are settled in Bitcoin on the blockchain.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information (e.g., shipping address for future orders).
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data after order fulfillment, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

8. Age Verification

You must be at least 21 years old to use this site. By confirming the age gate upon first visit, you represent that you meet this requirement. We do not independently verify your age beyond this self-declaration.

9. International Transfers

If you are located outside the United States and place an order, your shipping information will be transferred to international carriers for delivery purposes. These transfers are necessary to fulfill your order and are protected by standard carrier data handling agreements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
